At Lifted Logic, we’re all about building beautiful, highly functioning, custom websites. But in order to get the best custom website possible for you and your company there are certain things that we need to know before we can get started. Here are some things to think about before coming in for your first meeting with us!
Your name and industry
First of all, we need to know the name of the business we are going to be creating a custom website for. The sooner we have that the easier and more detailed you proposal will be. Also, by learning which industry your company is in we are able to research not only your business but what type of online product your competitors are putting out. Lifted Logic likes to help our clients set their industry standard when it comes to their online presence.
The goal of the website
We need to know why you’re hiring us to build a custom website. Are you trying to generate exposure? Drive leads? Sell product? Inform your customers about what’s new in your business? We approach each custom website differently based on what our client’s goal is. Once we’re on the same page and know the end goal we’re able to start designing and developing the site that’s best for your business.
Your taste in websites
We always ask our clients what other websites have caught their eye- for better or for worse. Understanding what fonts, styles, graphics, and functionality our clients love and hate improves our chances to get the design and development work right the first time. We don’t want to waste our time or yours by proposing features or platforms that don’t match our clients’ vision.
What you already have
Do you already have a website, logo, and color scheme? Do you have any social media pages that we will be linking your custom website to? Knowing where each of our clients are at before we begin the project helps us to give an accurate timeline and have a better understanding of what is necessary
Do you have any content?
Though we have great copywriters in our office, we usually won’t know more about your business than you do. It’s typical for you to write up most of the content for your website and we’ll polish and clean it up for grammatical errors and so it’s more SEO driven.
There are other things we will discuss through your custom website creation process that will help us to design and implement the right website for you.
As we create your custom website, the more informed we are on what you want and the more communication we have through the process, the better the end result will be for your business and online presence.
