Recently, we were asked to create a brochure design in Overland Park for a local nonprofit called Brown Bag Productions. First, we met with the organization to determine their exact needs and what kind of content they wanted in their brochure design. We also discussed any time constraints they may have had, as well as a limit to their budget to ensure we were respectful of whatever limitations they had. We wanted to be sure we included all of the relevant information in an engaging and visually appealing way in order to draw in and engross their readers. After some further discussion with their team, and another amongst our own, we had a plan. We wanted to create a design that played off the “brown bag” theme in the name, so we used an actual brown bag to create the texture for the background in this nonprofit brochure design! This was a way to tie-in the organization and its purpose without going over-the-top on graphic design, and therefore budget.
This brochure design was going to be important for their nonprofit organization to spread their message in Leawood, Lenexa, Lee’s Summit, Olathe, Overland Park and the rest of the Kansas City metro area. The brochure also features the logo design we created for them, and uses a bright green color they loved featured in the design. We may be biased, but we think this is one of the most unique brochure designs in Overland Park right now.
