One of the most popular questions we get is ‘ should I just use template websites?’ Every time our answer is ‘No.’ With this being such a common question we thought it’d be a good idea to not only answer it once and for all but also give you the method behind our answer. Below are three reasons NOT to use a template for your next website:
1. TEMPLATES AFFECT PERFORMANCE
A lot of the templates out there aren’t terrible from an aesthetics standpoint and offer the administrator the ability to customize the template to fit whatever is needed through an endless list of options. This may seem great, but what most people don’t realize is that having all the options means you’re adding a lot of files to your website that you don’t need. Adding all of these files increases the time it takes to load your page which is not a good thing. Not only do people expect pages to load quickly, but so does Google. Google takes loading speeding into consideration when it ranks pages. By deciding to not use a template and working with Lifted Logic, you are making sure that only the necessary files and codes are included in the creation of your site making it fast loading!
2. TEMPLATES DON’T STAND OUT
If you want your company to do well you have to stand out from the crowd. There are multiple ways to do this, but having a custom website is one of the best. When you buy a pre-built template you’re telling potential customers that you don’t care about setting your company apart. There are countless businesses out there with great ideas and the potential for growth, yet their website doesn’t match their product.
