The challenge
The Overland Park Convention Center (OPCC) is an all-encompassing event resource where planners, exhibitors, attendees, couples, businesses, and community groups can bring their ideas to life. With personalized customer service, flexible spaces, innovative event solutions, and everything needed to create a memorable experience, OPCC plays an important role in bringing the Kansas City community together.
OPCC partnered with Lifted Logic to create a modern, intuitive digital experience that helps every type of visitor quickly find the information they need. Through an in-depth web design process, we carefully considered the site’s content, imagery, colors, navigation, and user journeys to create a website that reflects the energy and professionalism of the convention center.
Our solution
A convention center serves a lot of different audiences—and each one arrives with a different goal. A meeting planner needs venue information and resources. An attendee wants event details. An exhibitor needs to understand available spaces and logistics. A couple planning a wedding wants to envision their celebration.
The new OPCC website creates clear pathways for each of these audiences.
Dedicated resources for planners, attendees, exhibitions, and weddings help visitors quickly identify where they belong and what they need to do next. Instead of sorting through information that may not apply to them, users can navigate directly to relevant resources, making the planning process more efficient from the very beginning.
A more visual way to connect
The new OPCC website uses a visual form to make connecting with the convention center feel simple and intuitive. Rather than asking visitors to navigate through multiple pages to find the right resource, the form guides them toward the information and services that fit their event needs. With a streamlined, user-friendly experience, prospective clients can quickly share what they’re planning and take the next step toward bringing their event to life.
