Earlier this year, Lifted Logic was fortunate to participate in the Johnson County’s Certified Green Partners Program. It has been a busy few months as we make renovations to our building to fit the needs of our community through a green initiative. We strive to promote eco-friendly practices into every aspect of our day to day activities. Learn how we are eco-friendly!
What we did to earn the Certified Green Partner title
The Certified Green Partners Program, created by the city of Johnson County, strives to promote eco-friendly practices such as recycling, energy conservation, and to decrease the large amount of waste that businesses generate. To better benefit the Johnson County community, Lifted Logic integrated the following into our business:
- Hand Dryers: Our hand dryers were just installed this week! The hand dryers in our restrooms are made with the environment in mind. The dryer only releases air for a few seconds to conserve as much energy as possible.
- Less Waste: During our lunch break, we utilize our own plates, forks, and cups to decrease the amount of plastic and paper usage in the office. We take pride in the fact that our trash is minimal for the amount of employees Lifted Logic has.
- Electric Charging Stations: Around this past March, Lifted Logic had electric charging stations installed in our parking lot so that other Johnson County citizens with electric cards have a place to charge their vehicles. We also hope that with easier access to electric charging stations, others will be encouraged to purchase an electric car to ease the strain that gas has on the environment.
- Refillable Glass Water Bottles: If you have sat down in a meeting with us, we typically offer you something to drink. Have you noticed the blue glass bottles that contains water? We regularly wash and refill the water so that clients (and employees) are discouraged from using plastic bottles.
