Last week we suggested five questions to ask before choosing a web design company. Here are five more questions to help you make sure you find the best fit for your needs.
With the holidays coming up, more people will turn to the internet for gift ideas. There is no better time than right now for your business to find an online presence. Here at Lifted Logic, we are dedicated to helping your business increase its online presence. Maybe your company is just taking flight, or maybe you are looking to spruce up your existing website. Even if Lifted Logic may not be the right web design company for you, we want to make sure you are prepared when visiting other website agencies in town. Below, we have included the most important questions to ask during the first meeting.
Will I own my website/artwork once it’s completed?
Owning your own site is very important. Why would you spend money on a site for your business if you do not own the rights to it? Here at Lifted Logic, we believe it is silly to charge you for a website and then keep the rights to it. When your site is ready to launch, we give the rights to the website, images, and any video we film to you.
Can you provide examples of websites that your company has developed?
This is one of the more important questions to ask. Viewing past examples can display how talented a firm is, and how creative the web design company can be.
Will my website be compatible with smartphones, tablets, & other mobile devices?
The future is here, and the future of websites is a mobile-friendly version. If the web design company you are visiting says no, you must walk away! The truth is that your business could suffer detrimental consequences if it does not have a fully mobile responsive website. At Lifted Logic, all projects we complete can be viewed and used on any device, from the smallest phone to the largest television monitor.
What type of content management system do you build on?
Your site will be perfect whenever it is ready to launch, but what if you add another line of products? Managing your own site should be easy, not difficult. Asking which CMS the site is built on is key to determine the level of difficulty editing it may become.
Do you offer on-going maintenance after my site goes live?
A company that won’t stand behind their website once its launched (and you’ve paid them) is not a company you want to be working with. Lifted Logic offers on going site maintenance and additional training needed. We train all our clients in SEO, blogging and how to manage your site.
